John P. Morgan

John passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the Toni and Trish House with his family by his side at the age of 85 years. He was born in Bay City on September 22, 1933 to the late Edward and Evelyn (Beckman) Morgan. John proudly served his country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged. On June 30, 1956 he married the former Barbara Goss in Bay City and she survives him. John worked for General Motors Powertrain for 30 years retiring in 1987 and later drove school bus for Bay City Public Schools. In his spare time he enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and boating.
John is survived by his wife, Barbara; children, Kim (Stephen) Steig, Tom, George and Ron (Zhanna); grandchildren, Christy, Jimmy, Stevie, Shannon, Brandon, Kelli Jo and Kirill; ten great grandchildren and brother, Jerry (Judy) Morgan. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Donald and Kenny and sisters, Shirley and Patricia.
At the request of John, cremation has taken place. The family will greet friends for fellowship at the Fraser Road Church of God on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 11:30 a.m. Private inurnment has taken place in Floral Gardens Cemetery.
