John B. Rochow "Jack"

Rochow, John B. "Jack" Essexville, Michigan Jack passed early Friday morning, March 30, 2012 at Heartland Health Care-Hampton. Age 90 years. The son the of late Charles and Amanda (Richardson) Rochow was born October 24, 1921 in Bay City, MI. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, served as a Lay Minister and was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #2740 in Essexville. Jack had a great love for his family and friends, enjoyed golfing and served with the U.S. Air Force. He is survived by three sons and three daughters-in-law; Patrick and Joan Rochow of Lansing, MI, Jeffrey and Sharron Rochow of Essexville and Terry and Lori Rochow of Bay City, MI, his grandchildren; Eric, Mark and Jeremy Rochow, Christopher and Lisa Rochow and Nicholas Rochow, his sister; Helen Rochow, his sister-in-law; Odile Trombley and his brother-in-law; Dick Ahlberg. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife; Lois M. Rochow, his son; Daniel Rochow and one grandson; Michael Rochow. The Rochow family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Heartland Health Care- Hampton for the kind and compassionate care our Dad received during his time of need. The Funeral Liturgy will take place Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church (614 Pine St., Essexville, MI 48732). The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Ricky M. Varner with the Rite of Committal following at Floral Gardens Cemetery followed by Military Honor's conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. Jack will lie in state at the Church on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.
