John E. Wachowski

Wachowski, John E. Alger, Michigan Mr. Wachowski passed away Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 90 years. He was born April 11, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan. John retired from the Prestolite Co. in 1981, served with the United States Army during WW II and was a member of the American Legion Post 18. He was an avid sportsman, enjoyed golfing, fishing hunting, going to the casino and most of all spending time at his home watching the wildlife. He is survived by his children; Carol Brozewski, Gary Wachowski and fiancée Lea Sharp, Mary Ann (William) French and Sally Block, eleven grandchildren; Carrie, Dan, Brian (Hope), Gary "Jay", Jeremy (Bobbie), Justin (fiancée Lori), David, Bill, Tim, Patrick and Hollie, numerous great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, his special niece; Shirley (George) Spaniel, and his special cousins; Leonard Szczepanski and Dick Spencer. He was preceded in death by his wife; Ettie, three grandchildren; Michelle, Mike and Mark, two sons-in-law; Norman Block and Gary "Bro" Brozewski, one sister; Florence Barclay and two brothers; Gene and Ted Wachowski. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, August 14, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.. Officiating will be Pastoral Minister of Holy Trinity Catholic Church Nancy Ruth under the Auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council with private burial in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
