Mr. Johnathan Jay Miller/McFarland, of Bay City, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2015 at his home, age 33. He was born on August 24, 1982 in Bay City. John graduated from Western High School in 2000. Before his illness prevented him from working, John was a manager at ABC Warehouse in Bay City for many years, and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
John was preceded in death by his father, Harry J. Miller in 1998 and his mother, Betty Jean (Roth) Miller in 2002. He will be greatly missed by his adoptive parents, George and Cathy McFarland; his Busia, Jacqueline Christiansen; his six siblings, Chris (Traci) McFarland, Benjamin (Sarah) McFarland, Stephanie (Brent) Larive, Emily (Chad) Adler, Susan (Andy) Haight and Elizabeth "Libby" McFarland; his 12 nieces and nephews, Joseph, Bradley, Louis, Gabriel and Zachary McFarland, Emma, Sommer, Logan, Mason and Ava Larive, and A.J. and Georgia Haight; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2015 at Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm. Private interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased led by Rev. Fr. Kevin N. Kerbawy will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. John will lie instate at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
