Joseph Heinz, of Bay City, passed away Wednesday April 6, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center, age 88. The son of the late Jacob & Hedwig (Krzyaniak) Heinz, he was born February 28, 1923 in Bay City. Joseph served with the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church and was a long time member of the St. Stan's A.C. Joseph was the sales manager at Draper Chevrolet in Bay City. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ermine (Frankowiak) Heinz, in 2009. Joseph is survived by his three children, Randolph (Laurie) Heinz of Bay City, Jeffrey Heinz of Port St. Lucie, FL and Renee (Conrad) Vorwerck of Bay City; grandchildren, Heather (Christopher) Seegraves, Gregory Heinz, Nathan Vorwerck and Evan Vorwerck; great-grandchildren, Madison, Alyssa and Jakob Seegraves, Makenzie Heinz; and a brother-in-law, Edward Legner. Joseph was also preceded in death by his eight brothers and sisters, Frank Heinz, Delphine Nickson, Ferdinand Heinz, Helen Dombrowski, Frances Borkowski, Angeline Justa, Bernice Heinz and Genevieve See. A Memorial Liturgy will take place at 11:00am on Monday April 11, 2011 at St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Christian F. Tabares. Private inurnment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church on Monday from 10:00am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
