Joseph A. Kaczorowski

Mr. Joseph A. Kaczorowski passed away Friday morning, March 17, 2017 at the Schnepp Nursing Home in St. Louis, Michigan, age 83. He was born on March 18, 1933 in Bay City. Joe served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was retired from The Bay City Times where he was a typesetter for 33 years. Joe had been an active member of St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church for several years as a marriage counselor and with Marriage Encounters. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially camping and fishing, and spent many years transporting veterans to VA hospitals.
Joe is survived by his two sons, Bruce (Grace) Kaczorowski of Ithaca and Brian (Julie) Kaczorowski of Sebewaing; four grandchildren, Carrie, Morgan, Jenna and Jarad; three great-grandchildren, Vada, Dylan and Ayden; a brother, Leonard (Geraldine) Kaczorowski of Bay City; and several nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his father, Xavier Kaczorowski; his mother, Anastatia "Nettie" (Filip) Kaczorowski Galus; a brother, Richard Kaczorowski; and two sisters, Eleanor (Kenneth) Dresser and Theresa (Fred) Gwizdala.
The Funeral Service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Deacon Stanley Kuczynski followed by Military Honors conducted by the U.S. Air Force and the Bay County Veterans Council. Private interment will be in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to U.S.A.
