Joseph Schuman

Joseph passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at Bay City Comfort Care at the age of 84 years. Joseph was born in Bay City on July 29, 1934 to the late Emil and Esther (Strieter) Schuman. He was a member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church for many years. On October 8, 1955 he married the former Judith Ann Hartley and were married for 63 years. Joseph was a farmer all his life and also worked for Monitor Sugar for many years.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Judith; children, Joseph (Rachelle) and Teri Schuman; grandchildren, Eric (Amber), Rebecca, Samantha (A.J.), Amber, Alisha and Mason; great grandchildren, Bryson and Danica; sister, Gail Jones and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will take place at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church with private entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum, Saginaw. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. Mr. Schuman will be taken to the church to lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday.
