Joyce K. Friebe

Friebe, Joyce K. Kawkawlin, Michigan Joyce, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away unexpectedly Monday, August 1, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 66 years. The daughter of the late Frederick and Evelyn (Buchinger) Schluckbier was born March 14, 1945 in Saginaw, MI. Joyce was a member of St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church, the ladies aid and sang in the choir. She enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband; Lowell A. Friebe whom she married July 10, 1965. Also surviving are two daughters and two sons-in-law; Lisa and Tom Ross and Brenda and Tim Rivet, one son; David Friebe, her grandchildren; Brianna and Tyler Rivet, Tommy, Nicholas and Abigail Ross, one sister; Karen Friebe, two brothers and two sisters-in-law; Dale and Lorraine Schluckbier and Dennis and Cindy Schluckbier, many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her brother-in-law; Lloyd Friebe. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Friday, August 5, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor Larry Seafert with private interment in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. Joyce will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
