Joyce L. Prankienas

Mrs. Prankienas passed away Friday, May 8, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 84 years. The daughter of the late Arnold and Eva (Sampson) Rancour was born April 5, 1931 in Bay City, Michigan. She attended Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. In her younger years she worked as an X-Ray Technician at St. Luke's Hospital in Saginaw. She was dedicated to her family caring for her husband, children and grandchildren. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting, was a very good seamstress and enjoyed crossword puzzles. Left behind to cherish her memories are her children; Michael R. Prankienas, David A. (Tonya) Prankienas, Eve Ann (Barrett)Kane and Martin B. (Kellie) Prankiens, her grandchildren; Dominic, Amanda, Derek, Dustyn, Melissa, Angela, Kathleen, Andrew, Danielle, Paul, Makayla, Karly and Anthony, her great grandchildren; Jason and Madilynne, one brother: Donald (Sally) Rancour. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Dominic Prankienas and her brother; Charles Rancour. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish-St. Mary the Assumption (607 E. South Union St. Bay City, Michigan 48706).The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak with entombment in St. Andrews Mausoleum in Saginaw. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Monday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. to receive family and friends. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Monday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Prankienas will be taken to the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
