Joyce Catherine Schuette

Our loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully, Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at Red Oaks A.F.C. Home. Age 91 years. The daughter of the late Maurice Monroe and Elsie Alba (Reed) Marshall was born September 23, 1925 in Ann Arbor, MI. She had a great love for her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them, she also enjoyed camping at Tawas State Park and spending the winters in Harlingen, Texas. Left behind to cherish her memories are her children, Patti (Jeff) Kusch, Judi (Mike) DesJarlais, Lisa (Bob) Lawrence and Scott Schuette; her grandchildren, Chris, Matt (Gwen) and Tracy (Jena) Windiate, Jill (Scott) McIntosh, Sean (Tracy) DesJarlais, Josh (Sara) Hurley, Brittney (Bryan) Dinsmore, Sarah Lawrence and Emily Schuette, thirteen great grandchildren; one daughter at heart Shannon (Mike) Laney and their children, Michael and Megan. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband Carlton Schuette. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to the staff of Red Oaks A.F.C. Home and Joy Kohlhoff of Hometown Hospice for the kind and compassionate care our mother received during her time of need. At the request of Mrs. Schuette cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Nicholas Coffaro. The family will be present at the funeral home on Sunday to receive family and friends from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services.
