Judith Elam

Judith passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2020 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 78 years. Judith was born July 22, 1941 to the late Robert and Arlie (Hoppe) Smith in Bay City, Michigan. Judith taught in elementary school for years before she went back to Central Michigan University and obtained her Master's Degree and came back to Bay County to teach Special Education. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, going to craft shows and spending time with her family.
Judith is survived by her two sisters, Nancy (Bruce) Clarke and Sue Porter; two sons, Scott (Marie) Elam and Jeff Elam; six grandchildren, Samantha (Greg) Krieg, Andrew Elam, Sarah Elam, Monica Elam, Michael Elam and John Paul Elam; one great grandchild, Felicity and nephew Bobby Porter. In addition to her parents Judith is preceded in death by her brother in law Jack (Porter) and Brother, Paul Frank.

Burial will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2020 at Elm Lawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to the Bay County Humane Society.
