Judith "Judy" Ann Schuman (Hartley)

Judy passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 at her home with her family by her side at the age of 87. Judy was born in Bay City on June 4, 1937 to the late Howard and Anne (Campbell) Hartley. She was a member of St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church for many years. On October 8, 1955 she married Joseph Schuman and they were married for 63 years. Judy loved watching the Detroit Redwings, the Detroit Lions, U of M, listening to music, helping out on the farm and spending time with her family.

Judy is survived by her children, Joseph (Rachelle) and Teri Schuman; grandchildren, Eric (Amber), Rebecca, Samantha (A.J.), Michael, Alisha (Luke) and Mason; great grandchildren, Bryson, Danika, Henry, Johnathon, Adella; sister, Karen Cuthbert and her fur baby, Beuford. In addition to her parents, Judy is preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Joseph Schuman; brother-in-law Robert Jones sister-in-law, Gail Jones and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Wellspring Hospice and to Keri Ivan, her medical caregiver for the excellent care and compassion they gave Judy.

Memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church with private entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum, Saginaw. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to St. John’s Ev. Lutheran Church.
