Julia "Kate" Oswald

Mrs. Oswald passed on Friday, December 30, 2016 at From The Heart AFC. Age 96 years. The daughter of the late Rock and Julia (Runyan) LaBerge was born October 27, 1920 in Rose City, Michigan. Mrs. Oswald was retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co. and enjoyed camping, fishing and spending winters in Paradise Island in Haines City, Florida. Mrs. Oswald is survived by one daughter, Kathy A. Martin; five grandchildren, Brian (Paulet) Martin, Cynthia (Joe) Walker, Patrick (Katie) Martin, Lisa Martin and Becky Martin; several great grandchildren; one sister, Pauline Gehringer and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence "Ozzie" Oswald; one grandson, Daniel Martin; seven brothers and three sisters. Funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Susie Brooks Hierholzer with Committal following in Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, January 4, 2017 from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Memorial cards for Fremont Avenue United Methodist Church will be available at the funeral home.
