Richardson, Julia Clara Bakersfield, California Formerly of Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Richardson passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Mercy South West Hospital in Bakersfield, CA. Age 82 years. The daughter of the late Louis B. and Antoinette (DaBarros) Vincent was born March 9, 1928 in Norwich, CT. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and Lector. She retired from Bay Regional Medical Center as Supervisor of Mental Health. After her retirement she worked for Home health Care and Volunteered for the American Red Cross. She loved attending her grandchildren's sporting events, enjoyed watching sports on T.V., playing cards. She was an avid walker and walked in many races including: St. Patrick's Day Parade and the Breast Cancer walk, she also enjoyed spending time with her friends. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Terri and Michael Hilligas of Bakersfield, CA, one son and daughter-in-law; Keith and Kelly Richardson of Auburn, MI, her grandchildren; Matthew Deford, Angela Deford, Bobbie Richardson,Sami Rae Richardson and Brandon Doyle Hodge, one sister; Virginia Richardson, her nieces and nephews; Annette and Corky Brown, Patricia Link, Elizabeth and David Corpening, Karen and Linwood Walker, Cheryl and Ron Gilmore, Jacqueline Richardson, Jimmy Richardson, Anita Vincent, Linda and Jim Spencer, Morris McCormick, Muhalmina and Yahyah Abdul- Hakim. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Morris F. "Bud" Richardson Jr., one sister; Anna Vincent and brother-in-law; James V. Richardson (husband of her sister; Virginia and brother of her husband; Morris). The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Meissner with the Rite of Committal following in Elm Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral home, Inc. on Tuesday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Richardson will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial Cards for Breast Cancer Research will be available at the funeral home.
