Julianne E. Smith

SMITH, Julianne E. of Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Smith passed away Tuesday night April 6, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center, age 68. The daughter of the late Russell G. & Ruth A. (Hamilton) Hurlbut, she was born August 9, 1941 in Kalamazoo, MI. Julianne was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. William F. Smith, Jr. on February 29, 2004. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. Julianne loved her cats, Taale, Buddy & Clyde and greatly missed her cat Muffin, who had just passed away. She enjoyed watching cooking shows and doing crafts and crocheting. Julianne is survived by two children, Deborah Anne Smith and Timothy John Smith both of Bay City; a special friend, Jesse James Dumas, who was like a son to her; and five brothers-in-law, Robert, Kevin, Brian, Dennis and Terrance Smith. Julianne was also preceded in death by a son, Christopher Michael Smith. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday April 9, 2010 at Christ United Methodist Church, 4267 S. Two Mile Rd. Officiating will be Rev. Carol M. Blair-Bouse with interment following in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Thursday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Mrs. Smith will lie instate at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
