Julie M. La Vigne

La Vigne, Julie M. Bay City, Michigan Formerly of Black River, Michigan Julie passed away Monday, September 5, 2011 at the Carriage House Nursing Home. Age 92 years. The daughter of the late Benjamin and Donelda "Minnie" La Vigne was born February 15, 1919 in Black River, Michigan. She was a member of St. Mary the Assumption Catholic Church in Bay City. She was retired from Prestolite Corporation after thirty five years of service and a member of the U.A.W. She is survived by two sisters; Ann Schmidt of Oscoda, MI and Ethel Rasche of Black River, MI, many nieces and nephews, her caregiver; Roberta Haertel. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by two sisters; Doris Langenburg and Rena Hartley. The Funeral Liturgy will take place Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church in Black River, MI. (5570 N. Lakeshore Drive). Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Robert Bissott with the Rite of Committal following in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 12:00 o'clock Noon until the time of services. Memorial cards for Brian's House or St. Mary the Assumption Catholic Church will be available at the church.
