June E. Hewitt passed away early Tuesday morning, February 24, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 76 years. She was born June 3, 1938 in Standish, Michigan. She graduated from St. Mary's High School on June 3, 1956. Mrs. Hewitt was a member of All Saints Parish-St. James Catholic Church, The League of Catholic Women & Men, the Altar Society, The Legion of Mary and The Daughters of Isabella. Mrs. Hewitt married Earl J. Hewitt Jr. on April 23, 1960 and he preceded her in death on May 30, 2008. Mrs. Hewitt is survived by her four children; Joseph M. (Diane) Hewitt of Luxemburg, WI, Renee M. Hewitt of Bay City, Scott J. (Tony) Hewitt of Ft. Lauderdale, FL. And Earl J. (Linda) Hewitt III of Bay City, seven grandchildren; Edward G. (Margie) Nichols II, Tina M. Nichols, Michael and Donald Hewitt, Kevin, Rebecca and Caitlin Hewitt, three great grandchildren; Katie Renee Nichols, Riley Carter Nichols and Cody Edward Nichols, two sisters; Ronnie Grusecki and Nova Manczak, two brothers-in-law; Donald Przepiora and Leonard Manczak, three sisters-in-law; Pat Coupie, Connie Hewitt and Florence Hewitt, 67 nieces and nephews, 194 great nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, June was also preceded in death by one son; Michael P. Hewitt, her parents; Jerome and Ilet Coupie, brother; John Coupie, step-mother; Yula Coupie, sisters; Maryliss Przepiora, Patricia Johnstone, Una Krupa and Iva Van Den Boom, brothers-in-law; Ben Krupa, Marty Johnstone, Walt Grusecki and Ray Van Den Boom, sister-in-law; Sister Rose Marie Hewitt. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, February 28, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at All Saints Parish-St. James Catholic Church (710 Columbus Ave., Bay City, MI 48708). Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Jose Cabrera with the Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. to receive family and friends. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Friday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Hewitt will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
