June Charlotte Kernstock

Kernstock, June Charlotte Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Kernstock passed away late Thursday evening at Bay Shores Nursing Care Center. Age 88 years. She was born June 8, 1926 in Saginaw, Michigan and has resided in Bay City most of her life. June was a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust , Lutheran Women's Missionary League and the Friendship Circle. She enjoyed singing in the church choir, was a volunteer for many church and school functions and took great pride in serving as the church custodian and retired after thirty years of dedicated service. June enjoyed working in her yard and on the centennial farm, fishing and most of all just visiting with family and friends. She is survived by one daughter Patty J. Kernstock of Shelby Township, one son; Roger D. Kernstock, one sister-in-law; Doris Brunner-Deford , many nieces and nephews and her special family friends; Julie Hedrick, Laurie Morley, Chris Zimmer-Jones and Jan Stoll. On October 1, 1949 she married Emil Kernstock she married Emil Kernstock and he preceded him in death on December 8, 1984. She was also preceded in death by one son David M. Kernstock and her brothers and sisters . Funeral Services will take place Monday, July 28, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust. Officiating will be Rev. Paul D. Theiss with interment following in St. Paul Church Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Mrs. Kernstock will be taken to the church to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for St. Paul Lutheran Church Building Fund will be available at the funeral home.
