Karen Jay Appold

Mrs. Appold passed away on Sunday, December 30, 2018 at Close to Home Assisted Living. Age 70 years. The daughter of the late Karl and Muriel (Feuell) Sonderegger was born July 24, 1948 in Davison, Michigan. Mrs. Appold was a member of Grace Church and enjoyed knitting, reading, coloring and singing in the church choir.

Mrs. Appold is survived by her husband, Larry Appold, whom she married on August 11, 1979; three children, Chad (Katie) Appold of Spring Lake, Michigan, Christian (Kristina) Appold of Bay City and Joshua (Melissa) Appold of Saginaw; four grandchildren; one sister, Kathy (George) Wassel of Brighton, Michigan and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Mrs. Appold was preceded in death by her sister, Karla Jean DeMott.

At the request of Mrs. Appold cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Eric Kieb. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services. Memorial cards for Grace Church, SouthernCare Hospice or the donor's favorite charity will be available at the funeral home.
