Karen A. Schisler, of Bay City, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 5, 2016 at The Carriage House of Bay City, age 67. The daughter of the late Chester and Edith (Johnson) Schisler, she was born on October 9, 1948 in Bay City. Karen graduated from Bay City Central High School and retired after many years as the receptionist at her brother's medical office, Dr. Charles W. Schisler. She was a member of the Evangelical Free Church as well as the Red Hat Society and T.O.P.S. Karen loved her dog, enjoyed QVC, scrapbooking and ceramics and took great pride in baking cakes for all of her family's birthdays and weddings.
Karen is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Charles and Sharon Schisler of Bay City; and many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews. Besides her parents, Karen was also preceded in death by her stillborn twin brother, Kenneth Schisler.
Karen's family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of The Carriage House of Bay City and Dr. Howard Hurt for the exceptional care they've given to her these last few years.
The Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at the Evangelical Free Church. Officiating will be Pastor Greg J. Langley. Private interment will be in Seaman's Cemetery.  Karen will lie instate at the church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
