Katherine V. VanIdour

VanIdour, Katherine V. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. VanIdour passed away Saturday, February 27, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 90 years. The daughter of the late Wellington and Philomena (Visnaw) Garrod was born December 13, 1925 in Newberry, Michigan. She was an avid bingo player and loved to crochet. She graduated summa cum laude from the Flint Michigan School for the Deaf. Mrs. VanIdour is survived by two daughters, Cheryl (Larry) Finn and Julie Morrison; one son Robert (Deborah) VanIdour; twelve grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles VanIdour; one son, Larry VanIdour; one daughter, Kathy Marie VanIdour; two grandsons and twelve siblings. Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2016 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson with private interment in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for the Flint Michigan School for the Deaf will be available at the funeral home.
