Kathleen Trudell Peters Langley (Kaye, Katie) was born in Bay City, MI, on February 9, 1937, the daughter of Ulric Nelson and Grace Trudell. Kathleen passed away March 16, 2016 at Covenant Health Care-Cooper in Saginaw.She grew up in Bay City, graduated from Bay City Central High School and married Roland G. Peters in 1956.The couple enjoyed a beautiful forty-three year marriage and were blessed with four children. Kaye enjoyed bowling, her vegetable garden, playing the keyboard, hosting a table at the annual Christmas Tea and volunteer work at her church. She worked for a number of years at National Distributors and at the Dime Store in Banks. After Roland's death , she was so very fortunate to find a second love in James Langley. The two married in 2002 and shared a love of travel, gardening and church volunteer work. She was always quick of wit and full of joy. Kaye is survived by her husband James (Jim) Langley, her brother Robert (Sharon) Trudell, her sister JoAnne (Enos) Marquez, her sister Mary Ellen (Darrell) Steff, her sons David Peters and Thomas (Anne) Peters, daughter-in-law Megan Peters and son-in-law Lewis Hatt. She is also survived by grandchildren: Justin, Alexis, Matthew, Perrin, Russell, Ben, Stephanie, Shannon, Benjamin, Thomas Jr, Brandon, Joshua, Lillian, Nicholas, Jackson and Daniel, and 11 great-grandchildren. Resting in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, she joins her parents, husband Roland, brother Gerald, sister Judy, son Roland, daughter Kathleen (Kathy) and grandson, Jason. Office of Christian Burial/Funeral Service will be Monday, March 21, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. George Byzantine Catholic Church 204 N. Van Buren St. Bay City, Michigan 48708. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. David A. Hannes. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Kawkawlin, Michigan. The Family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. to receive visitors on Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. A Panachida (Wake) Service will be held Sunday at 6:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Langley will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 9:30 a.m. and until the time of the Mass.
