Thompson, Kay F. (Tackman) Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Thompson passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 at Bay Shores Nursing Center. Age 75 years. The daughter of the late Clarence and Angeline (Hages) Griffith was born November 7, 1938 in Bay City, Michigan. Mrs. Thompson was a member of St. Alban's Episcopal Church, an avid bingo player, loved going to Las Vegas, watching birds and making people smile. Mrs. Thompson is survived by her five children, Debra Howell, Cheryl (Ricki) LaLonde, Peggy (Gerald) Solinski, Holly (Bill) Hadd and Charles (Shanna) Tackman, Jr.; grandchildren, Nathan, Haley, Tony (Angie), Tonya, Denton, Derek, Amber, Katie, Angella, Adam and Ambersue and many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews; one brother, James Griffith and one brother-in-law, Carl Wieland. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by one sister, Mary Jane Wieland. At the request of Mrs. Thompson cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 25, 2014 at St. Alban's Episcopal Church. Officiating will be The Rev. Sharon L. Voelker. Friends may call at St. Alban's Episcopal Church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for St. Alban's Episcopal Church will be available at the church.
