Keith was a kind hearted, caring and giving person, who passed away unexpectedly on Monday evening, January 12, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 61 years. He was born June 19, 1953 in Bay City, MI. Keith was the President and co-owner of St. Laurent Brothers. He was a lifelong member of First Church of the Nazarene and attended Memorial Presbyterian Church with his wife and son. Keith was a man of God. Keith graduated from Garber High School in 1971 and graduated in 1975 with his Bachelor's Degree from Central Michigan University. In his free time he enjoyed golfing and was a member of the Green Hut Golf league. He also loved watching his son play baseball, watching any type of sporting event and vacationing to any where it was warm especially Florida. Keith will remembered for his great sense of humor and lovingly enjoyed teasing his family, friends and co-workers. Left behind to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 26 years; Shelly A. (Webb) Whitney whom he married June 11, 1988, his beloved son whom he cherished; Nicholas Keith Whitney, his mother; Norma F. Whitney-Cobb, one brother; Derryl Whitney, his mother-in-law; Beverly Webb, his step-sisters and brothers; Sherry (Paul) Clagett, Linda (Gary) Brunton, Sheldon (Sharon) Cobb, Susan (Curtis) Hardin and Timothy (Crystal) Cobb, his sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; Wendy (Russell) Augustyniak, Scott (Melody) Webb, and Matthew Webb, his precious pet dog: Cheyenne, his two aunts; Jeannene Porter and Sammy King, many dear nieces and nephews, many cousins and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his father; Glen Whitney Jr., his step-father; Bill Cobb, his father-in-law; Darwin E. Webb, one sister-in-law; Suzanne Whitney. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Jon Essex and Pastor Mike Rhodabarger with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home on Friday to receive family and friends from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 pm. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
