Ken, or Kenny to some, went to be with our Lord and his beloved parents Edward and Lorraine Gifford on January 4, 2015. Kenny was born on January 18, 1960 in Owosso, Michigan. He is survived by six siblings; Keith and Eileen Gifford, Tammara and Robert O'Connor, Camille and Mark Fleming, Celeste and Terry Rodriguez, Jennifer Gifford and her significant other; Stephen, Blaine Gifford and Leathel Carr and seven nieces and nephews. He was especially close with his nephew, Riley Curtis, who said "Uncle Ken was the most awesome uncle in the world." Kenny was loved by everyone he knew and will be impossible to replace in many ways. He was always easy going and a joy to be around - he made you laugh and enjoy life. Kenny worked at his job for over 20 years, was a diligent, hard working employee, will be extremely missed by everyone he worked with, and we've been told it will be next to impossible to find someone to fill his shoes. He loved watching and listening to sports, especially the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Red Wings. He also loved working on and taking care of his vehicle and attending church at St. Boniface. A viewing will take place Saturday, January 10, 2015, from 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., with a service to be held at 4:00 p.m., both at Gephart Funeral Home, 201 W. Midland Street, Bay City, Michigan. Officiating the service will be Rev. Fr. Joseph Schabel. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Wishes of the Family.
