Kelts, Kenneth L. Kawkawlin, Michigan Mr. Kelts passed away early Wednesday morning, December 12, 2012 at Timberline Lodge in Caro, Michigan. Age 90 years. The son of the late Jerome and Anna (Houck) Kelts was born February 5, 1922 in Boyne City, Michigan. He Served with the United States Air Force during WW II, was a life member of The Flying Tigers of the 14th Air Force Association, Inc., retired from Dow Chemical Company in Midland, MI, enjoyed coon hunting, fishing and tinkering with Hit and Miss Engines. He is survived by two step daughters; Dorma and Richard Hall and Martina Warren, his special granddaughter; Eileen Casciano and her husband Philip and many other grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, two brothers and three sisters-in-law; Atwood "Cork" and Joan Kelts, Thorneta, Beverly and Donnie and Pat and Jeanette and many nieces and nephews. On September 1, 1951 he married his wife Earnestine and she preceded him in death on December 25, 1996. He was also preceded in death by two sisters; Dorothy and Phyliss and two brothers; Tuff and Chuck Funeral and Committal Services will take place Friday, December 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Larry J. Kluck under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council. Private interment will take place in Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for Bay County Veterans Council will be available at the funeral home.
