Ken, our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away on Saturday, May 04, 2019 at his residence with his family by his side, at the age of 64 after a short battle with cancer. He was born October 14, 1954 in Bay City, the son of the late Kenneth and Fran (Crow) Blank. Ken was a member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. He retired after many years of service from G.M. Powertrain where he worked as a Machine Repairman. He had a great love for his family, but his grandchildren held a special place in his heart. Ken was an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting fishing and boating. He also enjoyed working in his yard, woodworking and remodeling.
Left to carry on his legacy is his wife, the former Cheryl L. Heinz whom he married April 3, 1976, two daughters and two sons-in-law, Stephanie and Jeffrey Petrimoulx and Ashley and Thomas Billings; his grandchildren, Brady Petrimoulx and Easton Billings; three sisters and two brothers in law, Charlene and Harvey Parent, Brenda Huff and Patricia and Patrick Ford; three sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law, Debra and Karl Peterson, Susan and Gary Hammerbacher and Wendy Heinz; mother and father-in-law, Robert and Shirley Heinz and many beloved nieces and nephews; his best friends, Carl, Ron, Mark and Doug.
At the request of Mr. Blank cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Joel Pankow. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorial contributions to the Heartland Hospice or Trinity Ev. Lutheran School.
