Kenneth "Kenny" Lee Hamel

Mr. Hamel passed away on Friday, February 9, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 61 years. Mr. Hamel was born November 19, 1956 in Goodrich, Michigan. Kenny loved driving his semi, traveling to the U.P. and listening to music, especially the oldies.

Mr. Hamel is survived by his two daughters, Jennifer (David) Zirkle and Kelly (Ben Brookhouse) Hamel; one granddaughter, Victoria Herrera; his mother, Lethel Hamel; nine siblings, Robert (Linda) Hamel, Patrick (Kathy) Hamel, Betty (Fred Pike) Baker, Sherri (Mike) Keeler, Karen (Robert) Outman, Darla (Al) Clark, Darrel Hamel, Victoria (Tim) Juhas and Thomas (Pam Krause) Hamel; two brothers-in-law, Steve Garcia and Richard Leonard; many nieces and nephews and two special friends, Dave and Joyce Helmreich. Mr. Hamel was preceded in death by his father, Robert Jack Hamel; two sisters, Kathy Garcia and Carol Leonard and one brother, Marvin Hamel.

Funeral service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis W. Matyas. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for the American Heart Association or McLaren Home Care will be available at the funeral home.
