Kenneth E. Marotzke

Marotzke, Kenneth E. Bay City, Michigan Formerly of Sebewaing Mr. Marotzke passed away, Sunday, July 27, 2014, at Bay Shores Nursing Center. Age 88 years. The son of the late Gustave and Frieda (Graf) Marotzke was born September 15, 1925, in Sebewaing, Michigan. Mr. Marotzke was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, retired from the U.S. Postal Service as a letter carrier after 25 years of service. Kenneth also served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, a life member of the Sebewaing V.F.W. Post 4115 and was in the Bay City Bowling Hall of Fame. Mr. Marotzke is survived by his wife, the former Della Ann Stahl, whom he married September 18, 1951; one son Kenneth (Joy) Marotzke, Jr.; two grandsons, Sean (Tori) Jelinek and Andrew (Rose) Jelinek; daughter-in-law, Mandy Jelinek; five great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Cayden, Jack, Judd and Elizabeth. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jeremy Jelinek, two brothers and two sisters. At the request of Mr. Marotzke, his body was donated to the University of Michigan Hospital, and there will be no services or viewing at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.
