Kenneth J. Reisig

Kenneth passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 at his residence with his family by his side at the age of 80 years. He was born in Bay City on September 15, 1940 to the late Jacob and Elizabeth (Peil) Reisig. On December 30, 1963 he married the former Crystal Hoppe and they were married for 56 years until her passing on August 8, 2020. Ken was an active member of Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church and involved in many groups. Ken proudly served his country in the United States Army and worked for Gaertner Builders as a carpenter for many years retiring in 1998. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, gardening and spending time with his family on the farm and in the woods. He also enjoyed cutting and splitting wood and traveling with family and friends.
Ken is survived by his children, Rhonda (Kevin) Olechowski, Kendra (Frank Walsh) Reisig and Kenneth (Jennifer) Reisig; grandchildren, Davin (Jennifer), Alexis, Ella, Ava, Dominic and Dane.
Funeral and committal service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 15, 2020 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Joel Pankow with private burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 14, 2020 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Mr. Reisig will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. We are currently still under the governor's executive order of social distancing and limited to 50 visitors in the chapel at one time.
