Kenneth James Wightman

Mr. Kenneth James Wightman, of Essexville, passed away on Tuesday afternoon, March 3, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region, age 55. He was born on January 21, 1960 in Saginaw. Ken was an Eagle Scout and had graduated from SVSC with a degree in Engineering. He had been a longtime member of Ames United Methodist Church in Saginaw. Ken is survived by his father and step-mother, David (Beverly) Wightman of Saginaw and Mesa, AZ; two sisters, Janice Peters of Saginaw and Kathryn (Mark) Dewitt Bay City; and his nephews, Matthew and Jason Peters, and Alexander (Samantha) Dewitt and Zachary Dewitt. Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Lorraine (Goodeman) Wightman in 1985; and his brother, Rev. Raymond Wightman in 2011. It was Ken's desire for cremation to take place. A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at Grace Church, 4267 S. Two Mile Rd. Officiating will be Rev. Leonard A. Clevenger. Private inurnment will be in Kochville Methodist Cemetery. The family will greet friends at the church on Saturday, May 2nd from 3:00 p.m. until the time of service.
