Kurt L. VanDuser

Our loving husband, father, grandfather and son passed away early Saturday afternoon, June 20, 2020 at McLaren Bay Region, at the age of 65. He was born April 6, 1955 in Bay City, Michigan. Kurt was a Carpenter with Local #706 and retired as a Field Inspector from Wade Trim. He was a member of Moose Lodge #169. Kurt had a passion for boating, hunting, fishing, ice fishing, snowmobiling, hockey and music.
Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife the former Sheri L. Proctor whom he married September 15, 1979; daughter, Megan VanDuser; son, Derek VanDuser; grandchildren, Lyla and Dalton VanDuser; father, Melvin VanDuser; father-in-law, William Proctor; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Alan and Mary Proctor; one niece and one nephew; and many close friends. Kurt was preceded in death by his mother, Elaine VanDuser and his mother-in-law, Carole Proctor.
At the request of Kurt cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service will take place Wednesday June 24, 2020 at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Aaron Knapp. The family will be present at the funeral home on Wednesday to receive family and friends from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. We will be following the social distancing guidelines and allowing 10 visitors in the chapel at one time.
