LaDonna E. Johnson, of Bay City, Michigan passed away Wednesday afternoon September 7, 2011 at Bay Medical Care Facility in Essexville, Michigan with her family at her side.. Age 94 years. She was born to the late Joseph and Cecilia (Woods) Chevalier on September 1, 1917 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law; Sherry and James Fry of Bay City, two sons and one daughter-in-law; Richard Johnson of Bay City and James and Joan Allen of AuGres, five grandchildren; Eric Fry, Jodi Fry, Cody Russell, Julie (Ed) Roth and Jill (Branden) Riebenack, two great grandchildren; Ryan Roth and Carly Mascal and one great great grandchild; Harper Roth On March 20, 1944 she married Carl E. Johnson and he preceded her in death on December 31, 1983. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one sister; Minerva Gerlofson and one brother; Joseph Chevalier. Funeral Services will take place Monday, September 12, 2011 at 12:00 O'Clock noon at Messiah Lutheran Church 501 S. Catherine St. Bay City, MI 48706. Officiating will be Rev. Andreas H. Teich with interment following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. At the request of the family there will be no visitation at the Gephart Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc.. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 11:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the church or funeral home.
