Larry passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, morning January 31, 2012 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 77 years. The son of the late John and Evelyn (Germain) Obermiller was born June 3, 1934 in Bay City. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, the St. Vincent de Paul Society and Knights of Columbus Council #3590. He was retired Grey Iron Foundry in Saginaw after thirty eighty years of service. Presently he was driving vehicles for Graff Chevrolet which he was very passionate about. Larry enjoyed gardening, working in his yard and his puppy, Charlie. He is survived by his wife of fifty four years the former Kathleen F. "Kay" Cross whom he married January 25, 1958. He is also survived by his children and their spouses: Martin and Joan Obermiller, Jeffrey and Kim Obermiller, Jodi and Steve Swanson, David and Susie Obermiller and Matthew and Kathy Obermiller, his grandchildren; Jason Sauve, Greg and Elizabeth Obermiller, Karley Obermiller, Chris Obermiller, Matt and Julia Madigan, three sisters and one brother-in-law; Kathleen Masters, Karen Gorski, Janice and Ray Jacobs, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one son; Daniel Obermiller, his grandson; Adam Sauve, four brothers; John, Leonard, Donald and Richard Obermiller, two sisters; Marilyn Grew and Elaine Grew. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. The celebrants will be Rev. Fr. Emmett L. Marceau and Rev. Fr. Kevin N. Kerbawy with private Rite of Committal following in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home followed by the K of C Council #3590 bible presentation. Larry will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
