Laura Mae Kruchkow

Kruchkow, Laura Mae Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Laura Mae Kruchkow, of Bay City, passed away early Thursday morning March 21, 2013 at Heartland Healthcare Hampton, at the age of 94. The daughter of the late Cecil and Gladys (Salois) Vaugh was born June 18, 1918 in Detroit. She was preceded in death by her husband, George A. Kruchkow. Laura was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She was an active volunteer and enjoyed sewing and playing bingo. Mrs. Kruchkow is survived by four children, Judy Ousterhout, Pat (Lee) Behmlander and Gregory Kruchkow all of Bay City and George (Diane) Kruchkow of Augusta, GA; a daughter-in-law, Katie Kruchkow of Bay City; 14 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; and two friends, Agnes & Corkie. Mrs. Kruchkow was also preceded in death by a son, Frederick Kruchkow; a daughter, Nona Hoyt; a grandson, Dean Behmlander; a granddaughter, Carol Hoyt; a great-granddaughter, Brooke Marie Ackley; and her lifelong friend, Lillian Beattie. It was Mrs. Kruchkow's desire for cremation to take place. The family will greet friends and relatives at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday March 26, 2013 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. A private inurnment will take place in Floral Gardens Cemetery .
