Laurence Clements

Our loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and brother passed away unexpectedly at his residence, at the age of 84 years. The son of the late Laurence E. and Gertrude (Bessey) Clements was born in Tawas, Michigan on January 4, 1935. He married the love of his life Donna Jean Werth in May of 1954. Larry was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church. He retired from the Teamsters Union and when he retired he was driving for Bulk Transport. Larry was a member of the Moose Lodge #169 and the Fraternal     Order of the Eagles #2588. Larry was a professional trumpet player and enjoyed sharing his talent of playing his trumpet in his band The Touch of Brass. He will always be remembered by many for his musical ability to sing renditions of Louie Armstrong. He also had a passion for golf and last summer hit a hole in one and Spring Valley Golf Course, which he was extremely proud of, he also enjoyed spending time with his family.
Left behind to carry on Larry's legacy are his children and their spouses, Shelley and Jay Cooper, Mitchell and Ashley Clements, Shari and Gregory Money; his grandchildren and their spouses, Greg (Janel) Blair, Jennifer (Tim) DeShano, Melissa (Tom) Stahl, Jessica (Brian) Rokosz, Madison Clements and Mason Clements, Alyssa (Jon) Erickson and Michael Money; his great grandchildren, Hayden and Brody Blair, Chandler Washington, Max Shaye, Jaxson Stahl, Evan DeShano, Jayce, Teegan and Ryder Rokosz, Ava, Aliah and Amaya Erickson; his brothers and sisters and their spouses, James (Ruth) Clements, Patricia Davis, Susan Davidson, Harold Clements, Connie (Robert) Brown, Jerry (Barb) Clements, Walter (Deb) Clements, Robert (Lynn) Clements. After a long separation he will be reunited with his parents; his wife, Donna Clements; his daughter, Sheila Mae Clements, his son-in-law, Wayne Blair, his brother, Marvin Clements; his brothers-in-law, Gary Davidson and James Davis Sr.
At the request of Larry cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will take place on Monday, May 13, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Messiah Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Andreas Teich. The family will be present to receive family and friends at the Gephart Funeral Home on Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Wishes of the Family.
