Lawrence K. Butterfield

Butterfield, Lawrence K. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Butterfield passed away early Saturday morning, April 28, 2012 at his residence. Age 85 years. The son of the late Harvey and Charolotte (Finn) Butterfield was born April 12, 1927 in Bay City, MI. Mr. Butterfield worked in administration at Dow Chemical Company and was retired. He graduated from Bay City Central High School, Bay City Junior College and Michigan State University. He enjoyed buying and selling antiques, swimming at the Y.M.C.A and M.S.U. Sports. Mr. Butterfield served with the U.S. Navy during W.W. II. He is survived by his children and their spouses; Kim R. and Jan Butterfield of Sparr, FL Kris J. and Sharon Butterfield of Hamilton, OH, Lynn A. Butterfield and Jim Gillespie and Lorie J. and Neil Le Vasseur all of Bay City, MI, his grandchildren; Nathan Morse and Tracy Gwizdala, Jason Morse and Jennifer Browne, Donny Morse and Aphonsaysopha, Philip Le Vasseur, Jeffrey Butterfield and Kate and Gabriel Butterfield and Andrea Bond, his great grandchildren; Harrison Morse, Alliyah Morse, Ariana Morse and Charlee Butterfield and many other close family members and friends .In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Geraldine A. (Okon) Butterfield and one son; Kip Butterfield. At the request of Mr. Butterfield, cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service has taken place. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Memorial cards for Michigan State University or the Humane Society of Bay County will be available at the funeral home.
