Lawrence "Larry" J. Mika

Mika, Lawrence J. Bay City, Michigan The son of the late Edward and Leona (Biskupski) Mika passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010 at Bay Medical Care Facility in Essexville, MI. Age 59 years. He was born October 25, 1951 in Bay City, Michigan and has resided here all of his life. Larry attended St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, was formerly employed at the IGA Store on Lafayette St., he graduated from Bay City All Saints High School, he was an avid reader and served with the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He is survived by one sister-in-law; Mary Ann Mika of Bay City, his nephews and nieces; Chris and Sue Mika of Holland, Kenneth Mika of Traverse City, Rick and Cheryl Mika of Bay City and Karen Mika of Bay City, his great nieces and nephews, many cousins and his very special friends; Keith and Tina Rytlewski of Bay City. Larry was preceded in death by his parents; Edward and Leona, one brother; James Mika and one nephew; Mark Mika. At the request of the family cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery. There will be no visitation at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. If anyone is planning on making a expression of sympathy they are asked to consider the American Diabetes Association.
