Lawrence "Pat" F. Arnold

Mr. Lawrence F. "Pat" Arnold, of Bay City, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 7, 2014 at Bay Shores Nursing Center, age 97. The son of the late John M. & Johannah C. (Obermiller) Arnold, he was born March 1, 1917 in Bay City. Pat was a member of New Life Missionary Church. He was retired from the Palmer Oil Co. where he was a truck driver and worked in retail sales. Pat was avid hunter and fisherman. Pat is survived by three children, Larry (Joyce) Arnold, Jr. of Crump, Shirley (Victor) Begick and Lonnie Dubay, both of Bay City; a son-in-law, William Willett of Bay City; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, Pat was also preceded in death by his wife, the former Lois B. Faulkner; a daughter, Karen Willett; his step-son, Gary Beaver; his brother, Norman (Alma) Arnold; two sisters, Arlene (Emil) Reinhardt and Viola (Erich) Bauer. The Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Boyer. Private interment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.
