Lawrence J. Reif "Bub"

Lawrence passed away Friday, April 24, 2020 at Covenant HealthCare Cooper at the age of 94 years. He was born in Bay City on September 8, 1925 to the late William and Millicent (Bray) Reif. Bub served his country in the United States Army and received his Purple Heart during WWII. On May 1, 1948 he married the former Janet Schmidt and were married for 71 years. He worked and retired from Dow Chemical in 1981 after 34 years of service. In his spare time he enjoyed working outside, gardening and spending time with his family.
Bub is survived by his wife, Janet; sons, Lawrence (Daniel Zaremba) Reif Jr. and Thomas (Judy) Reif; grandchildren, Nick (Kavita) Reif and Meghan (Nabil) Fayad; great granddaughters, Nikita and Rayna Reif; sister-in-law, Mary Reif and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Warren (Helen) and Howard Reif.
