Lawrence Edward Wiesen

Lawrence passed away peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on Monday, August 21, 2023 at the age of 88. He was born to the late Floyd and Leona (Sampson) Wiesen Sr. on August 8, 1935 in Bay City, Michigan. He loved golfing, traveling, fishing and hunting. He is now together again with his wife of over 50 years, Nancy Wiesen, who passed on March 9, 2016.

Lawrence is survived by his daughters, Brenda Wiesen (Bart Campeau) and Carolyn (Craig) Murawski; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Richie Wiesen and sister, Diane (Tom) Obermiller. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Gary Wiesen; Grandson, Jordan Westphal; granddaughter, Amber Paine; brothers, Jack Wiesen, Floyd Wiesen Jr., Bo Wiesen and James Wiesen and sisters, Joanne Hozeska, Mary Dorion, Geraldine Kish and Vivian Hopkins.

A memorial service for Lawrence will be held on Friday, August 25, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home with Military Honors to follow. The family will be present to receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s research Hospital.
