Leah Margaret Kerkau

Kerkau, Leah Margaret of Bay City, Michigan passed away Friday evening February 10, 2012 at Bay Medical Care Facility in Essexville, Michigan. Age 94 years. The daughter of the late Matthew and Margaret (Lee) Schwab was born February 2, 1918 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. She is survived by two daughters and two sons-in-law; Karen and William Schmidt of Bay City and Kathy and Randy Lloyd of Idaho Falls, Idaho, two grandchildren; Wendy Beach of Dexter, MI and Brad and Angela Schmidt of Bay City and two great grandchildren; Skyler Schmidt and Mecciah Schmidt. She was preceded in death by her husband; Norman Kerkau and one grandson-in-law; Mark Beach. Funeral and Committal Services will take place Monday, February 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m.. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Jeffrey Engelhart with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 11:00 a.m. and until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
