Lee J. Offenbecher Bay City, Michigan Our loving husband, father, son and brother passed away peacefully early Wednesday morning November 18, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. Age 54 years. He was born June 29, 1961 in Flint, Michigan. Lee was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, graduated from Mayville High School. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. Lee graduated from Saginaw Valley State University and continued on with his career as a Registered Nurse at McLaren Bay Region. Lee had a great love for the outdoors, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all he cherished the time he spent with his family. On March 23, 1991 he married the former Lori Kay Tacey and she is left behind to cherish his memories along with three children; Myles, Madison and Mason Offenbecher, his mother; Karen Offenbecher, a special sister and brother-in-law; Shelley and Brian TerBush and many other siblings. He is also survived by his father-in-law; Bob Tacey, mother-in-law; Carol Tacey, two brothers-in-law and two sisters-in-law; Amy and Bob Hawkins and Todd and Cindy Tacey, one niece; Julia Tacey and five nephews; Cody Hawkins, Kaleb TerBush, Chris Hawkins, Brayden Tacey and Jordan Hawkins. He was preceded in death by his father; Robert Offenbecher in February of 2007. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Lee's family, co-workers and friends for all of the support, kindness and generosity they extended to him and his family during this difficult time. Funeral Services will take place Saturday, November 21, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Lutheran Church 3033 Wilder Rd, Bay City, MI 48706. Officiating will be Rev. Daniel C. Meckes followed by Military Honors conducted by the United States Air Force and the Bay County Veterans Council. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home and Cremation Services to receive visitors on Friday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. and at the Church on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to "The Wishes of the Family" for a memorial in his memory to be established at a later time.
