Leo Edward Thiel

Mr. Thiel passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 80 years. The son of the late Joseph and Mary (Waddups) Thiel was born March 21, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio. Mr. Thiel was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish where he was an usher and also worked for General Motors and Labadie. Mr. Thiel was a kind and generous man who was loved by his family and will be deeply missed.

Mr. Thiel is survived by his wife of 48 years the former, Eloize "Effie" (Delestowicz) and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Mr. Thiel was also preceded in death by his daughter, Lynn Marie Thiel.

Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at St. Catherine of Siena Parish. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. John S. Sarge. Friends may call at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the wishes of the family.
