Leon Amos Arnold Jr.

Leon Amos Arnold, Jr. (Chet), 60 years old, of Bay City, Michigan passed on Saturday afternoon February 13, 2016. Leon was born in Bay City on August 26, 1955 to Leon and Ruth Arnold. He resided in Bay City his entire life, living and loving the opportunities the land offered to a sportsman. He was an avid hunter and fisherman who connected to nature. His greatest dream was to one day sit on the banks of the river with a fishing pole in hand and his grandson by his side. Leon also had a love and talent for drawing and writing.
Leon married Penny Marie Arnold in 1992 and they had a loving baby boy in 1994, Danial Arnold. In August 2015, a wonderful baby boy was born to Danial (Tatiana Sarnowski). It was a god's blessing this little guy arrived to spend time with his grandpa.
Leon is survived by two brothers, Robert (Janet) Arnold, Michael (Deb) Arnold, and four sisters, Ruth Ann Arnold, Marion (Mike) Howay, Sandy (Geo) Lundy and Joan (Den) Anderson, many nieces and nephews and other family and great friends.
Leon is preceded in death by his wife, Penny, and his father and mother, Leon and Ruth Arnold, and grandparents. The family of Leon Arnold wishes to thank Hospice of McLaren, especially Tiffany, she sat with Leon in the early hours of the morning drinking coffee, watching TV and just had a wonderful conversation with him. This act of compassion takes a special person and you are a 'very special'!
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Visitation will be held Tuesday at the funeral home from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Officiating will be Pastor Ron Sinclair. Cremation will follow the funeral. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Gephart Funeral Home. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Wishes of the Family.

Those We Love
Those we love don't go away,
They walk beside us everyday,
Unseen, unheard, but always near,
Still loved, still missed and very dear
