Leonard E. Wisniewski

Leonard E. Wisniewski Bay City, Michigan Mr. Wisniewski passed away Thursday March 21, 2013 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 90 years. He was born April 22, 1922 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life. Leonard retired from Leo D. Goddeyne Hardware after thirty one years of services. He was a member of Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church, served with the United States Army and was a former member of the American Legion Post 18. On October 18, 1947 he married the former Delores L. Klida and she survives his passing along with two sons and one daughter-in-law; Robert A. and Judy Wisniewski Sr. of Bay City and William M. Wisniewski Sr. of Bay City, three grandchildren; William Wisniewski Jr., Jamie S. and John Ross and Robert A. Wisniewski Jr., two great grandchildren; Gavin and Chloe Ross. He was preceded in death by his parents; Edward and Rose (Wiechec) Wisniewski and one daughter-in-law; Susan Wisniewski on January 8, 2013. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Monday, March 25, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Visitation Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Stephen J. Fillion with the Rite of Committal following in Oakwood Mausoleum in Saginaw. There will be no visitation at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Mr. Wisniewski will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available.
