Lillian Marie Deshaw (Goulet) Kawkawlin, Michigan Age 84, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2015 in Bay City, Michigan. Lillian was born in Kawkawlin, MI on June 28, 1930 to the late Moses Joseph and Louise Sophie (Oerther) Goulet. She graduated from Central High School in 1947. Important to her was her Catholic faith, card playing, education, 4H, Boy Scouts, The Salvation Army and Good Samaritan Rescue Mission. Lil was a prolific reader, often completing her latest book every other day. She was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish - St. Vincent de Paul Church. Lil was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Joseph Deshaw. Surviving are her children Kenneth (Karen) DeShaw of Kawkawlin, Grace (Paul) DeShaw-Wilner of Okemos, MI, Robert Deshaw of Kawkawlin and Michael (Victoria) DeShaw of Bay City, grandchildren; Kyle (Annie) DeShaw, Kawkawlin, Kendra (Tim) Klemm, Kawkawlin, Kori ( Alek ) Poirier, Essexville, Kayla DeShaw, Lindsey (Jacob) Wilner, Fond Du Lac, WI, Brooke Wilner, East Lansing, MI, Dean Deshaw, Bay City, Lauren Deshaw,Bay City, James DeShaw, East Lansing, MI, and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Fay Waibel Archambeau, one sister-in-law, Dee (Clyde) Brown and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sister-in-law, Eileen (Jack) Little, brother -in -law Fred Waibel. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Parish - St. Vincent de Paul Church. Rev. Fr. John Sarge and Sr. Virginia Scally, SNDdeN will officiate over the funeral rites with Private Committal in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Deshaw will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of the Mass at 10:00 a.m. For those wishing, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army and The Good Samaritan Rescue Mission.
