Linda M. Reed

Linda passed away Friday, July 4, 2014 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor following a long courageous battle with cancer. Age 58 years. She was born November 9, 1955 in Bay City, MI. She was a member of St. Jude Thaddeus Parish and formerly attended St. Joseph Catholic Church for many years where she was a member of the Anne Society. Linda worked for many years at Walmart. She enjoyed spending time with her family, playing cards, bowling and spending time outdoors. She is survived by one son; Christopher (Kari) Everitt, one daughter; Tammy (her fiancée; Wally Maxson) Everitt, her mother and step-father; Mary Ann and John "Jack" Gravlin, four grandchildren; Jenna Ulrey, Chase, Garrett and Hannah Everitt, one great grandson; Ryan Ulrey, her sisters and brothers; Rosalind (Bryan) Herek, Donald Reed, Michael (Linda) Reed, Betty (David) Wisniewski, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father; Norman C. Reed, her grandparents; Arthur and Angeline DuRussel, Merlin and Grace Reed. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Wednesday, July 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish at St. Joseph Church 1005 3rd St., Bay City, Michigan 48708. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Joseph A. Schabel with the Rite of Committal following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home on Tuesday to receive family and friends from 1:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Tuesday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Linda will be taken to the church on Wednesday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until time of services.
