Loraine A. (Albright) Ahler

Mrs. Ahler passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 101 years. Mrs. Ahler was born August 22, 1918 in Fond du Lac, WI. Loraine was a member of Zion Lutheran Church and was a member of the Ladies Guild. Mrs. Ahler retired as a teacher from Mackensen Elementary School, was a member of Mensa and enjoyed reading. After retiring she volunteered at the school and was a big supporter of the library.
Mrs. Ahler is survived by her two daughters, Holly (John) Furlo of Saginaw, Michigan and Corliss (James) Irrer of Ann Arbor, Michigan; five grandchildren, Liisa (Goran) Bozinovic of San Diego, CA, Mark Furlo of Suffolk, VA, Robert (Dana) Furlo of Lake Geneva, WI, Brenna Irrer of North Adams, MA and Keagan Irrer of Ann Arbor, MI; 12 great grandchildren, Kesten, Kaya, Noah, Sail and Zoe Bozinovic, Kasey, Kristen and Aiden Furlo, Amelia, Sophia, Leila and Eva Furlo; one sister, Yvonne Albright and many nieces and nephews. Mrs. Ahler was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Ahler and her son, Kim Ahler.
Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 30, 2019 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. William H. Allwardt with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for the Bay County Library System or the American Heart Association will be available at the funeral home.
