Loraine C. Diment

Loraine passed away Friday, August 28, 2020 at Covenant Cooper, Saginaw at the age of 85 years. Loraine was born in Bay City on March 15, 1935 to the late Arthur and Laura (Reinhardt) Schimm. On February 5, 1955 she married Walter Diment and they were married for 30 years until his death on November 20, 1985. She was an active member at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust being part of the Friendship Circle, Ladies Aid and the audit committee. Loraine worked for many years at the Saginaw VA in the accounting department. In her spare time she enjoyed decorating, traveling, watching Hallmark movies, reading and attending musicals and plays especially at the Bay City Players. Most of all she loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Loraine is survived by her children, Kirk (Shelley) Diment, Lisa (Guy) Neubert, Mark (Cindy) Diment and Andy (Tanya) Diment; grandchildren, Kinsey and Hannah Diment, Lauren (Steven) Glass, Eric, Nick and Adam Diment; Gigi to her great grandchildren, Nathan, Harper and Amelia Glass; brother, Clifford (Claudia) Schimm; sisters, Judy (Bill) Craig and Sue (Leon) Hale; many nieces and nephews; special friend, Paul Begick and his family and nana to Charlie Begick.
Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Frankenlust on Tuesday, September 1, 2020. Officiating will be Pastor Dennis W. Matyas with private interment at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church on Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
